Price from BitPredict’s price feed, read 13 October 2026, 17:56 UTC. The page re-reads it every hour. Over the 24 hours before that read, BTC rose 0.69%. Its market cap in the same feed is $1.67T.
| You put in | Before fees | After a 0.1% fee |
|---|---|---|
| $10 | 0.00012037 BTC | 0.00012025 BTC |
| $100 | 0.00120367 BTC | 0.00120247 BTC |
| $1,000 | 0.01203674 BTC | 0.0120247 BTC |
| $10,000 | 0.12036736 BTC | 0.12024699 BTC |
The fee column takes 0.1% off the top first, the way an exchange does, so the coins bought are slightly fewer than the investment divided by the price.
A $1,000 BTC trade over the last 24 hours would have made $4.85 after fees.
- Buy. About 24 hours before the read above, BTC was at $82,512. A 0.1% entry fee on $1,000 is $1.00, so $999.00 buys 0.01210733 BTC.
- Sell. At $83,079 those coins sell for $1,005.86. The 0.1% exit fee is $1.01, so you get back $1,004.85.
- Result. Profit: $1,004.85 − $1,000.00 = $4.85. Return: 0.48%. Break-even for that buy was $82,677.
Type these prices into the calculator above, with $1,000 and a 0.1% fee, and it shows the same result.

$1,000 of BTC at eight sell prices
BTC bought at $83,079 breaks even at $83,245 with a 0.1% fee on each side.
A trading fee is charged twice, once on the buy and once on the sale, so the sell price has to clear both before the trade makes money. Break-even sell price = buy price ÷ (1 − fee)².
BTC break-even after fees
- 0.1% fee per side$83,245+0.20% above a $83,079 buy
- 0.25% fee per side$83,496+0.50% above a $83,079 buy

- 1% fee per side$84,766+2.03% above a $83,079 buy
Sell below the break-even price and the trade loses money even when the sell price is higher than the buy price.
One bitcoin is 100 million sats, so $100 buys 120,367 sats at $83,079.
A sat (short for satoshi) is the smallest unit of bitcoin, 0.00000001 BTC. Amounts under one BTC are often quoted in sats, and the profit math does not change: 0.00120367 BTC and 120,367 sats are the same position.
To turn any number of sats into dollars, use the satoshi to USD converter.
Here is what Bitcoin is and what moves its price.
Bitcoin is a decentralized digital currency that runs on a peer-to-peer network without a central authority, introduced in a 2008 white paper by the pseudonymous Satoshi Nakamoto and launched in January 2009. It uses a proof-of-work consensus mechanism in which miners expend computational power to validate transactions and secure the blockchain, receiving newly issued bitcoin and transaction fees in return. Its supply is capped at 21 million coins, with new issuance halving roughly every four years in an event known as the halving. Bitcoin was the first application of blockchain technology and is widely used as a store of value and a medium of exchange.
| Category | Store of value |
|---|---|
| Launched | 2009 |
| Blockchain | Own Layer 1 |
| Consensus | Proof of Work |
| Max supply | 21,000,000 |
| Main use | Store of value & peer-to-peer payments |
BTC tends to move on macro liquidity, ETF and institutional flows, halving-cycle narratives, and overall risk appetite. Because it sets the beta for the whole market, watch dollar strength, interest-rate expectations, and whether traders are in risk-on or risk-off mode before you call it.

Frequently asked questions
How do I calculate Bitcoin profit?
Profit = (sell price − buy price) × the BTC you hold, minus fees. Starting from dollars: at $83,079, $1,000 with a 0.1% fee per side buys 0.0120247 BTC. Sold 25% higher at $103,849, it brings back $1,247.50, a $247.50 profit and a 24.75% return. The calculator above does these steps for any prices you type.
How much BTC does $100 buy?
At $83,079 (13 October 2026, 17:56 UTC), $100 buys 0.00120367 BTC before fees, and $1,000 buys 0.01203674 BTC. With a 0.1% fee, $100 buys 0.00120247 BTC.
What is the break-even price for BTC after fees?
For BTC bought at $83,079, break-even is $83,245 with a 0.1% fee on each side, $83,916 at 0.5% and $84,766 at 1%. The formula is buy price ÷ (1 − fee)², because the fee is paid on the buy and again on the sale.
Does this Bitcoin profit calculator use the live price?
Yes. The buy and sell fields start at the live Bitcoin price from BitPredict’s price feed, and every field stays editable, so you can type the price you actually paid and the price you plan to sell at.
Can I work out BTC profit with leverage?
Yes. Pick 2× to 100× and long or short. At 10×, $1,000 of margin opens a $10,000 position, 0.12024699 BTC at $83,079 after a 0.1% fee, and the estimated liquidation price for a long is $74,771, 10% below the entry. Real exchanges close positions a little earlier than that estimate.
Can I use this as a Bitcoin buy and sell calculator?
Yes. Put what you spent in the investment field, the price you bought bitcoin at in the buy field, and the price you sold at, or plan to sell at, in the sell field. The calculator shows what the sale brings back after the fee, your profit or loss, the return and the break-even price.
Is this a Bitcoin earnings calculator too?
Yes. Earnings, gains and profit are the same number: what the sale brings back minus what you paid, fees included. The return is that number as a percentage of what you put in.
What is $1,000 of Bitcoin worth if BTC goes to $100,000?
Bought at $83,079 with a 0.1% fee, $1,000 buys 0.0120247 BTC. Sold at $100,000, that brings back $1,201.27 after the exit fee: a $201.27 profit, a 20.1% return. Type any target into the sell field to run the same sum.
