CryptoTicker.io is a Berlin crypto news site with price forecasts for 128 coins, a play-money trading game and a premium research tier. Its alternatives split by what you came for. CryptoTicker.io is a Berlin crypto news site with price forecasts, comparisons and a play-money trading game.

CryptoTicker.io is run by CryptoTicker.io GmbH in Berlin, and its homepage says it has been tracking the crypto market since 2017. It publishes its own news, live prices in euros and dollars, price forecasts for 128 coins, 19 comparison pages, data charts such as the Fear & Greed index, German crypto tax guides, a trading game and a premium research tier called ALPHA (CryptoTicker.io homepage, read 5 November 2026). It is a broad media site, so each alternative below replaces one part of it.

Green means no money goes in. Sources are in the table and sections below.

BitPredict comes first because it is the free one with nothing staked. You call a coin up or down over 24 hours, the call settles against the real market price, and your hit rate goes on a public leaderboard. It does not publish forecasts and it does not pay out, which is the point: the only thing on the line is whether your read was right.

CryptoTicker.io's forecasts are yearly scenarios, and BitPredict's calls are scored against the real price.

The Bitcoin forecast page on CryptoTicker.io sets three yearly scenarios, a conservative one, an expected one and an optimistic one, and applies them cumulatively from the price on the first trading day of the year. It says the rates are fixed assumptions as of 28 September 2026, and it lists a minimum, an average and a maximum for each year to 2030 (CryptoTicker.io Bitcoin forecast, read 5 November 2026). The page does not show how earlier forecasts performed.

A scored call turns that around. You do not read someone else's range: you make a call, it locks, and 24 hours later the market grades it. As of November 5, 2026, 9,712 BitPredict calls have settled and the crowd was right 49.1% of the time, against a 50% coin-flip baseline. The method and the raw data are in how accurate crypto predictions really are.

CryptoTicker.io's side is as its own pages described it in November 2026. Sources are in the sections around this figure.

Where CryptoTicker.io is stronger is breadth. Its newsroom, its comparison pages and its tax guides are things BitPredict does not try to be, so if that is what you came for, stay there. BitPredict's daily crypto news covers the day's headlines.

CryptoTicker.io's trading game uses play money, and a paid prize season is expected from January 2027.

The game starts everyone on $10,000 of play money at live prices and covers the 50 most traded cryptocurrencies. Traders are ranked by a CT score, which divides return by the largest drawdown. Its page says the demo account and the pre-season cost nothing and carry no prize money, that the first season with prize money is expected to start in January 2027, and that entry then costs from 29 € (CryptoTicker.io trading game, read 5 November 2026).

BitPredict has no balance to reset and no season to pay for. A call is graded on whether you were right, and the paper trading guide compares the three free ways to practise.

WalletInvestor and CoinCodex are the closest alternatives if you came for the price forecasts.

WalletInvestor says its predictions come from machine-learning technical analysis and gives each asset a rating from A+ to E- with targets from 7 days to 5 years (WalletInvestor, read 5 November 2026). A free account costs nothing. Its Premium plan, which adds the 7-day forecast, was listed at $149 for the first 13 months and $149 a year after that (WalletInvestor Premium, read 5 November 2026). Its methodology page quotes 94.83% from "1,482 forecasts checked against what the price actually did, June to August 2026, on 20 of the most traded assets" (WalletInvestor methodology, read 5 November 2026). CoinCodex says it tracks 40,000+ cryptocurrencies on 400+ exchanges and offers live prices and price predictions for crypto, stock and forex traders (CoinCodex, read 5 November 2026). Its Bitcoin page says the forecast is calculated from the historical price dataset, accounting for past volatility and market movements, and that the algorithm uses the cyclical nature of Bitcoin halvings. It shows 5-day, 1-month and 3-month targets, and the longer ones are marked Unlock (CoinCodex Bitcoin forecast, read 5 November 2026).

Polymarket is the alternative if you want to trade crypto odds with real money.

Polymarket charges only takers, at a rate set by category. Crypto carries the highest rate in its table, 0.07, applied as fee = shares × rate × price × (1 - price) (Polymarket fees, read 5 November 2026). Its geoblock page lists the United States as close-only, which means US users can close positions but not open new ones (Polymarket geoblock, read 5 November 2026). The October incident, how it holds funds and the state actions are in is Polymarket safe, and the arithmetic is in Polymarket fees.

  • You want price forecasts to read: WalletInvestor or CoinCodex, which publish forecasts rather than calls you make.
  • You want to trade crypto odds with real money: Polymarket, after reading its fees and access rules.
  • You want news, exchange comparisons or tax guides: CryptoTicker.io covers those itself.

Frequently asked questions

What is the best CryptoTicker.io alternative?

It depends on what you came for. For free practice with a public record, BitPredict: you call a coin up or down over 24 hours and the market grades it. For price forecasts to read, WalletInvestor and CoinCodex. For real-money crypto odds, Polymarket.

Is there a free alternative to CryptoTicker.io's trading game?

BitPredict is free and has no balance at all: your up or down call on a coin is scored on accuracy and ranked on a public leaderboard. TradingView's Paper Trading uses simulated money with no deposit and covers crypto among other assets. CryptoTicker.io's own demo account is free, with paid prize seasons expected from January 2027.

Are CryptoTicker.io's price predictions accurate?

Its Bitcoin forecast page lists a minimum, an average and a maximum for each year and does not show how earlier forecasts performed, so there is no hit rate to quote. BitPredict publishes one for its own calls: 49.1% across 9,712 settled calls as of November 5, 2026, against a 50% coin-flip baseline.

Does CryptoTicker.io cost money?

A CryptoTicker.io account is free and the demo trading game costs nothing. ALPHA, its research tier, is a paid add-on whose price its page lists as coming soon, and its membership renews unless you cancel it.

Can I trade crypto prices with real money instead?

Polymarket lists contracts on crypto prices for real money. It charges takers a fee that depends on the category, crypto being the highest rate in its table, and its documentation lists the United States as close-only. BitPredict is the version with nothing staked.
