Ethereum 2027 forecasts, checked 30 Oct 2026
Three named Ethereum price predictions for 2027 run from $3,028 to $10,000 and above
Three named forecasters put Ethereum between $3,028 (Citi, 1 Oct 2026) and $10,000 or more (Standard Chartered for the end of 2027, 12 Feb 2026; Tom Lee of BitMine, 25 Aug 2026) in 2027. Citi's figure is a 12-month target, not a year-end call. Three is far fewer than for bitcoin, and no bank or analyst we found has published a 2027 bear figure for ether, which trades at $2,234 (market data read 30 Oct 2026, 8:00 am ET). Every figure links to the page we read it on, and none of them is a BitPredict forecast.
Here is each named 2027 Ethereum forecast, with who made it, when and where to read it
The table runs from the highest figure to the lowest. Published is the day the forecast came out, or the day the linked report ran where the note's own date is not shown. We checked every row against its source on 30 Oct 2026, and we left out price pages that generate targets by formula, because a number with no named author cannot be checked.
| Who | Forecast | For | Published | Versus today | Source |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Standard Chartered | $10,000 | End of 2027, cut from $15,000 | 12 Feb 2026 | +348% | Bitcoin.com News |
| Tom Lee | Over $10,000 | Around 2027 and 2028, no exact date | 25 Aug 2026 | +348% or more | Benzinga, via Webull |
| Citi | $3,028 | 12 months from 1 Oct 2026, raised from $2,240 | 1 Oct 2026 | +36% | Decrypt |
"Versus today" compares each figure with ether's price of $2,234, read 30 Oct 2026, 8:00 am ET. Citi's target looks 12 months ahead from 1 Oct 2026, so it lands in autumn 2027. Analysts and teams named by the sources: Standard Chartered (Geoff Kendrick); Tom Lee (BitMine); Citi (Alex Saunders). Tom Lee gave no exact date: he spoke of Ethereum heading into 2027 and 2028 on the Bankless podcast, and Benzinga reported it on 25 Aug 2026. His direct words were "I think Ethereum could easily be over $10,000 in that time frame."
All three named forecasters put ether above today's price in 2027, by 36% to 348%
Each bar is one published figure. The white line is ether's price of $2,234, and green and blue mark the bull and base cases.
Named Ethereum forecasts for 2027
- Bull case
- Base case
- Today's price
- Standard Chartered$10,000
- Tom LeeOver $10,000
- Citi$3,028
Ether's all-time high is $4,946, set on 24 Aug 2025, and it trades 55% below that now. Two of the three figures sit more than double that record.
Network upgrades, staking and fund flows are the three drivers that matter most for Ethereum in 2027
- Upgrades. The Glamsterdam upgrade went live on the Sepolia test network on 6 Oct 2026. Mainnet has slipped from the first half of 2026 to the fourth quarter, and another slip "would push the benefits into 2027" (investingLive, 7 Oct 2026). Its headline change writes how blocks are built into the protocol, and a second change opens a path to raising the gas limit from about 60 million toward 200 million. The upgrade after it, Hegotá, has no date.
- Staking. About 43.7 million ETH, or 35.8% of supply, was staked on 5 Oct 2026. The exit queue held about 786,000 ETH that day, after peaking near 851,000 on 2 Oct, and the entry queue held 1.46 million (CoinCentral, 20 Oct 2026).
- Fund flows. US spot Ether ETFs recorded about $955 million of net withdrawals from 1 to 16 Oct 2026, according to Farside Investors data quoted by Coinpaper on 19 Oct. Citi raised its target to $3,028 while expecting about $5 billion of crypto inflows over the next 12 months (Yellow.com, 1 Oct 2026).
The bull and base cases below use only the figures in the table, and there is no bear case to show
We use each forecaster's own number and add none of our own. The two bull figures are Standard Chartered's and Tom Lee's, and the base figure is Citi's, the lowest and the most recent of the three. We found no named bank or analyst with a 2027 bear figure for ether. For scale, Citi's own target stood at $2,240 until its raise on 1 Oct 2026.
| Case | Range | Who | What the sources say is behind it |
|---|---|---|---|
| Bull | $10,000 and above | Standard Chartered, Tom Lee | Standard Chartered: It cut the nearer ether targets and kept its end-2030 target of $40,000. Tom Lee: Tokenization, AI adoption and new settlement infrastructure on blockchains. |
| Base | $3,028 | Citi | Citi: The source gives no separate assumption for ether. Citi's bitcoin call assumes about $5 billion of new fund inflows. |
| Bear | None found | No named forecaster | Nothing to report, because nobody we found has published a bear figure. |
Ether targets get cut and raised within months, so each figure is a snapshot
Citi's 12-month ether target slid from $4,304 to $3,175 and then to $2,240, before the raise to $3,028 (Yellow.com). Standard Chartered took its end-2027 target from $15,000 to $10,000 on 12 Feb 2026 and its end-2026 target from $7,500 to $4,000 (Bitcoin.com News).

No 2027 target has a score yet, because 2027 has not happened. BitPredict grades a much shorter kind of forecast: players call a coin up or down over 24 hours, and every call settles against the real price. As of October 13, 2026, 7,653 settled calls from 158 predictors show the crowd was right 49.6% of the time. How we grade, and when the crowd is worth following, is in how accurate are crypto predictions.

Frequently asked questions
What is the Ethereum price prediction for 2027?
There is no single one. Three named forecasters have published 2027 figures: Citi at $3,028 (a 12-month target, 1 Oct 2026), Standard Chartered at $10,000 for the end of 2027 (12 Feb 2026), and Tom Lee at over $10,000 (25 Aug 2026). The table on this page lists each one with its source.
Which bank has the highest Ethereum forecast for 2027?
Standard Chartered has the highest dated bank figure we found, $10,000 by the end of 2027, set on 12 Feb 2026 after it cut the target from $15,000. Tom Lee of BitMine is at the same level or higher, with "over $10,000" on 25 Aug 2026.
Will Ethereum reach $10,000 in 2027?
Nobody knows. Two of the three named forecasters put ether at $10,000 or above, and Citi puts it at $3,028. Ether's record is $4,946, so $10,000 would be more than double it. These are published forecasts, not results, and BitPredict does not predict prices.
What is the Glamsterdam upgrade?
It is Ethereum's next network upgrade. Its headline change writes the handoff between block proposers and block builders into the protocol, and it opens a path to a higher gas limit. It went live on the Sepolia test network on 6 Oct 2026, and mainnet is expected in the fourth quarter of 2026 (investingLive, 7 Oct 2026).
How much Ethereum is staked?
About 43.7 million ETH, or 35.8% of supply, was staked on 5 Oct 2026 (CoinCentral, 20 Oct 2026).
Does BitPredict predict the Ethereum price for 2027?
No. BitPredict never predicts prices and never gives financial advice. You make a free UP or DOWN call over 24 hours, the call settles against the real price, and your accuracy goes on a public leaderboard.
