Bitcoin 2027 forecasts, checked 30 Oct 2026

Eight named bitcoin price predictions for 2027 range from $20,000 to $250,000

Named banks and analysts put bitcoin between $100,000 (VanEck, 21 Aug 2026) and $250,000 (Galaxy Digital, 30 Dec 2025) in 2027. In between sit Standard Chartered at $200,000 (12 Feb 2026), Siebert Financial at $175,000 (19 Oct 2026) and Bernstein at $150,000 (26 Aug 2026). The bears sit far below: Citi's July bear case is $53,000 and Alessio Rastani targets $20,000 to $25,000 by the end of 2027 (11 Aug 2026), while bitcoin trades at $77,322 (market data read 30 Oct 2026, 8:00 am ET). Every figure links to the page we read it on, and none of them is a BitPredict forecast.

Here is each named 2027 bitcoin forecast, with who made it, when and where to read it

The table runs from the highest figure to the lowest. Published is the day the forecast came out, or the day the linked report ran where the note's own date is not shown. We checked every row against its source on 30 Oct 2026, and we left out price pages that generate targets by formula, because a number with no named author cannot be checked.

"Versus today" compares each figure with bitcoin's price of $77,322, read 30 Oct 2026, 8:00 am ET. Some targets are not strictly end-of-2027 calls: Citi's look 12 months ahead from the day they were set, and Siebert's looks 12 months ahead from its October report. We include them because they land in 2027 and say so. Analysts and teams named by the sources: Standard Chartered (Geoff Kendrick); Bernstein (Gautam Chhugani's team); Siebert Financial (Brian Vieten); CK Zheng (ZX Squared Capital); VanEck (Matthew Sigel).

Galaxy's figure is the oldest on the page (30 Dec 2025) and we did not find a newer one. Standard Chartered set its figure on 12 Feb 2026, when it cut its end-2026 target from $150,000 to $100,000. On 21 Aug 2026 its analyst said there is now a risk that his end-2026 forecast is too low (Cointelegraph), but we found no changed 2027 figure.

Seven of the eight forecasters put bitcoin above today's price in 2027, and one puts it below

Each bar is one published figure. The white line is bitcoin's price of $77,322, and green, blue and amber mark the bull, base and bear cases (how we sort them is explained in the cases section below).

Bar length is each forecast's figure; for a range the bar ends at the high end. Market data read 30 Oct 2026, 8:00 am ET.

The middle of the base-case figures is $150,000, which is +94% against today's price. That is what the typical published forecast asks of bitcoin by 2027. It is a forecast, not a likelihood.

The 2028 halving, fund flows and interest rates are the three drivers that matter most for bitcoin in 2027

  • The 2028 halving. The next halving is programmed for block 1,050,000, estimated between 13 and 17 April 2028, when the reward falls from 3.125 to 1.5625 BTC per block (Crypto Briefing, 27 Jul 2026). That makes 2027 the year before it. Bernstein's base case assumes bitcoin keeps following its four-year cycle, with a peak of about $300,000 in 2029 (The Block, 26 Aug 2026).
  • Fund flows. Citi's $113,000 target assumes only about $5 billion of new money into crypto funds over the year, and its $53,000 bear case assumed none (24/7 Wall St., 2 Oct 2026). On 21 Aug 2026 Standard Chartered's analyst said inflows into spot bitcoin ETFs had started to recover (Cointelegraph).
  • Interest rates. Bitcoin pays no interest, so when safer assets pay more, holding it costs more by comparison. None of the forecasts above states a rate path we could confirm, so rates are the part of the picture the numbers do not show.
  • The record to beat. Bitcoin's all-time high is $126,080, set on 6 Oct 2025, and it trades 39% below that now. Five of the seven forecasters with a bull or base figure put bitcoin above that record in 2027.

The bull, base and bear cases below use only the figures in the table

Where a forecaster labelled its own scenario (Bernstein's bull and base, Citi's bear), we use its label. For the rest we sort by size: $200,000 or more is bull, below $100,000 is bear, and everything between is base. We add no number of our own.

CaseRangeWhoWhat the sources say is behind it
Bull$200,000 to $250,000Galaxy Digital, Standard Chartered, BernsteinGalaxy Digital: Durable adoption trends continue. Galaxy calls it conditional, not guaranteed. Standard Chartered: Its analyst expected a dip toward $50,000 in 2026, then a recovery. Bernstein: Institutions buy more aggressively amid currency debasement.
Base$100,000 to $175,000 (median $150,000)Siebert Financial, Bernstein, CK Zheng, Citi, VanEckBernstein: Bitcoin keeps following its traditional four-year cycle. CK Zheng: He says the worst period for bitcoin may be over. Citi: About $5 billion of new money flows into crypto funds over the year. VanEck: The call is unchanged since April. The firm ties its separate 2029 call to the proposed Bitcoin Act.
Bear$20,000 to $53,000Citi, Alessio RastaniCiti: No net inflows into crypto funds. Alessio Rastani: An Elliott Wave read he describes as less bearish than Robert Prechter's.

The base range is the narrowest of the three, and its median of $150,000 is +94% against today's price. The bull and bear cases each rest on one to three forecasters, so read them as the edges of the published range, not as probabilities.

Bitcoin targets get cut and raised within months, so each figure is a snapshot

Citi's 12-month bitcoin target went from $143,000 to $112,000, then to $82,000 on 1 Jul 2026, then back up to $113,000 in a note reported on 1 Oct 2026 (24/7 Wall St.). Standard Chartered took its end-2027 target from $225,000 to $200,000 on 12 Feb 2026 (Bitcoin.com News). In January 2026 Bernstein had a $200,000 peak target for 2027 (Investing.com); in August its base case was $150,000 by mid-2027, with $200,000 kept as the bull case.

Columns are drawn to scale within each row, oldest on the left. The newest is in green.

No 2027 target has a score yet, because 2027 has not happened. BitPredict grades a much shorter kind of forecast: players call a coin up or down over 24 hours, and every call settles against the real price. As of October 13, 2026, 7,653 settled calls from 158 predictors show the crowd was right 49.6% of the time. How we grade, and when the crowd is worth following, is in how accurate are crypto predictions.
